A woman disguises herself as her dead brother, Henry, in order to survive in the Confederate ranks during the Civil War. With the help of Indians hiding in the mountains 'Henry' is reunited with the widow, Virginia, who saved his life at the battle of Antietam and marries her to rescue Virginia from an unfortunate arranged betrothal. DIRECTOR, PRODUCER

Whitney Hamilton brings 20 years of experience as a film and stage actress honing her chops at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in NYC and studying with John Strasberg as part of Accidental Rep as well as Oberon, Weird Sisters and New Circle. She has worked behind the camera as a writer and director for many years.

 

Her directorial debut, My Brother’s War (2004), garnered festival attention and North American distribution. She followed up with two more features, A Rogue in Londinium and most currently UNION now on the festival circuit. 

 

Growing up in the Deep South storytelling has been her mode of expression from painting to acting to playwrighting, screenwriting and novels.

Patrick Sullivan

PRODUCER

Patrick Sullivan, a native New Yorker brings 30 years experience in advertising and communications. Running studios in some of the most prominent advertising agencies in New York City and implementing cutting edge equipment and programs to most effectively promote various goods and services including content creation.

 

With his own production package Patrick has executive produced many short films and three feature films including My Brother’s War, A Rogue in Londinium and UNION. He co-produced Mr. Smith with Forrest Murray and Ian McCrudden. He has partnered with Decades Out to provide equipment and programs to documentary filmmaker Frank Kuzler helping to bring three docs to the screen: The Weather Project (2017). Fringe Fest, Burning to Communicate – the history of off-off Broadway and New Land, New Life – about the diaspora of Katrina victims from New Orleans and the resurgence of the city.
